@Bowlers Rant I know on paper it’s a different finish, but as far as on lane reaction, I’ve noticed literally zero differences between 1500 grit polish and reacta gloss

I’m team “color doesn’t affect ball reaction”. People sure seemed quick to forget all of the criticism for the Phase 4 after the Phase 5 came out. Sure, different polish and that makes a huge difference, but still the same ball!
Color does change ball reaction. I would check Luke rosdahl’s videos on the phaze 5 and the hustle wine/camo

It’s not a matter of opinion. There’s empirical data that shows that color effects ball reaction. Lol That being said, has to be a significant difference in color. The wolverine is a perfect example. Don’t use polish on most pearls. At the same finish with same layout, the og blue wolverine was significantly quicker on friction.

why cant storm just remake specter with updated finish. since USBC is saying reactive balls dont loose hardness as bad
They just did, its called the Revenant. If you are referring to the name change, I suspect it may have to do with moving away from the spectre name due to it being banned and not wanting to confuse their customers

I really like the specter. I was hoping storm would do what they did with the wolverine and release a new one with a different color scheme. Replacing the red with green would have looked sweet

@Bowlers Rant that’s not a solution, that’s an alternative. If you believe USBC is full of problems how would you fix it? Friendly reminder, the pba couldn’t even properly run the pba and got bought out. Now you expect them to be better at managing a million members? Fat chance.
No I’m not “butt hurt” about anything. Irritated perhaps at all the people that complain about something they know little about while also not getting involved at the local level to help fix it. Most people don’t care at all and that’s fine, but they also aren’t whining about it

The Absolute looks tremendous…however…I was a big fan of El Spectre…I had it drilled pin down…but I think I want to go pin up…50 x 5 1/4 x 50 on the Revenant. I just drilled a Damn Good Verge Pearl with that layout and it became my new beanchmark (see what I did there)! I expect the Revenant will be a tad cleaner than the DGVP.

My friend loved his Spectre and was devastated when it was banned. I never had a chance to throw it, but everything I saw, the ball looked unbelievable. We’re picking up the Revenant no questions asked.

I had the Spectre and like everyone else I was devastated by its banning. However, I did just buy the Absolute and I will throw it for the first time tonight. Can’t wait!
