  1. Another ball by a company that relies on surface friction vs what the leading manufacturer does with chemical friction first. Ever wonder why SPI has so many balls over the years with rgs higher that 2.5?

  2. I’m interested to see what the urethane !Q can do. I’m guessing they’re pairing the !Q tour with the new harder urethane, because the hard urethane will want to be cleaner down the lane and weaker overall. 500 grit OOB, plus an early and smooth core, will help the weaker cover pickup. I hope that’s the case anyway. Weaker urethane works great on modern, low volume house shots that are dry cliffed thanks to the USBC revoking the 3 Unit Rule a couple of years ago. I’d love to see this new urethane cover used more down the road if that’s the case.

    1. I’m not a Storm nor Brunswick fanboy, I like all bowling balls, but from what I’m seeing Hammer’s approach to the new rules seems like the better option.

  3. I agree. The black widow and jackals and those giant balls play havoc on the lanes but they do it in a different manner than a urethane.
The big core big cover reactive balls kind of steal the oil from the lane where the urethane moves it somewhere else.
Depending on the balls you have in your bag, one or the other can be a problem or not a problem that is to follow those balls

  4. I just picked up a Pitch Black back in July and I’m cool with it
However I always said an IQU would be dope and here it is. Possible replacement?? We shall see

  5. Cool video talk tech bowling bowling ball storm journey bowling ball with nano technology in the bowling ball more strike and spare hitting power at time Chris beans

  6. Red is one of the first colors our brain perceives, allegedly, due to various reasons. I wonder if they chose that color for the 78/U so it would stand out on the ball rack.

  7. IQ Urethane is a super great idea! And having a harder cover will let it be even smoother and more controlled. This one could be a winner. And like you, love Crimson color bowling balls.

  8. The !Q 78 Urethane looks good, Control 78 Coverstock, i think, will be stronger plus it’s at 500 grit finish and that Centripetal Core will drive it hard through the pins, not sure if this ball has to do anything with next year’s PBA season of the urethane rules?, we’ll see.

  9. Saw Jesper throwing the overseas version of the IQ Tour 78-U some months ago in an overseas tournament on You Tube. He was really rockin with it …. this one is the same thing and same color … only now, will be CHEAPER !!!!
