@Bowlers Rant Honestly I have never thrown a urethane ball at all. Not sure if its a thing for me the way I throw it, yet. I am sure there are some lane conditions I have not bowled on yet I would bring it out though.
I kinda wish they used the full fat meditate core instead of lowering the density. That would’ve been interesting.
Would not have had any energy when it got to the pins. I’m sure r&d tried it. The majority of storm’s money goes to r&d. They aren’t just blindly throwing cores into random covers and hoping they work. Although some balls seem that way.😂 (see gravity evolve, Zen master)
@DonkeyDieHard Idk, there have been urethane balls with strong cores that perform well. For instance, Hammer currently makes one, the Black Widow pink urethane which has the gas mask core. 900 Global themselves have done it before with the Vintage (overseas ball). I’m sure the engineers considered it, but decided to go in a different direction.

Low density core= more density from cover and filler(outside middle of the ball) =Higher RG
Black balls are smoother, it will be very continuous and smooth… So great for short pattern

The pitch Black from 12lb to 16lb all have the same weight block (Capacitor core) inside, with the Zen U it’s just different for a 12lb or 13lb ball.

Cool story. 😂 You clearly don’t bowl on sport patterns, which is what it’s designed for. However, I put a purple hammer on the rack every time I bowl on house. Even if I never throw it, people get in their heads because they don’t know how to bowl around it.

If bowlers can’t figure out how to bowl around urethane, that’s their problem. The house I bowl at has ridiculous amounts of friction and is allergic to oil. Our entire team throws purple hammers game 1. Then we move left and use carry down to give us some hold. It’s not our job to make sure others can score or keep the pattern nice and pretty for them.
